COVID RESOURCES

Employee In Person Work Requirement:

Upon arrival at a Joe Chocolate Co. facility, employees must complete an employee self screen test, accessible below or posted wherever a time clock is available. Employees must immediately notify Peter Keckemet in writing at peter@joechocolateco.com if they are unable to pass the test. Additionally, employees must notify P. Keckemet at the above address if they are not at work, but suspect they may have had an exposure to someone with COVID-19.

Executive Responsibility:

Upon being notified of any potential COVID-19 exposure to an employee of Joe Chocolate Co., Peter Keckemet must immediately notify all employees and potentially exposed vendors or their employees in writing with details of the exposure, including date, location, and nature of the exposure. Executives will be responsible for communicating to local health departments as necessary, and may refer to the Washington State Department of Health decision tree for exposure. Executives must apply and enforce written COVID-19 policies across the entire business and to all employees.

Out of State Vacation Policy:

Lacking a clear directive from the Center for Disease Control, Joe Chocolate Co. has developed its own return to work procedure for employees returning to work from an out of state vacation, starting 8/4/2020. All employees returning to Washington State from another state or country must self quarantine for 72 hours, after which time they must take a test for COVID-19. Upon receiving a negative result, they may return to work in a Joe Chocolate Co. facility. All Federal, State, or Local government advice supersedes this policy.
